Progeny provides professional, compassionate therapy for young people aged 13–25 experiencing a wide range of emotional, relational and psychological needs — from anxiety, low self-worth, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, loss and isolation, to difficulties connected with abuse, abandonment, attachment wounds and trauma.
Our team brings together therapists with different experience, training and areas of specialism. Some work with a broad range of emotional and relational needs, while others have specialist experience. We carefully match each young person with a therapist whose skills, experience and therapeutic approach are appropriate to their individual needs.
At the heart of our work is a professional, compassionate and attuned relationship where young people can feel safe, heard and understood. Depending on their needs and their therapist's training, we draw on approaches including talking therapy, creative and sand-tray work, trauma-informed therapy and EMDR to help young people make sense of their experiences, develop healthier ways of coping and move towards greater emotional wellbeing.
Above all, we seek to create a place of reconnection — helping young people reconnect with themselves, with others and with hope, as they rediscover their God-given Value, Identity and Purpose.
We are based in professional counselling spaces in Ballymena, Northern Ireland (click on a referral link above to book)
